Blessed Relief is a jazz trio that can add flair to your cocktail hour, party or anytime you need a little swing to your routine.
A trio consisting of guitar, bass, and drums, Blessed Relief is based in Eugene. They relish in the grooves and changes that bring tensions to resolution. Our repertoire dives into the Great American Songbook, performing swing, pop standards, bebop, blues, fusion, and a little bit of Frank Zappa.
Blessed Relief is a blend of their inspirations, from hints of rock, blues and jazz. Members of the trio have performed throughout Oregon, but have come together to share their passion for jazz and improvisation.
The band’s performance and interpretations of tunes are inspired by some of jazz’s masterworks, including recordings by George Benson, Kenny Burrell, Miles Davis, Pat Metheny Group, Thelonious Monk, Joe Pass, Weather Report—and much more.
Named after the final song on Frank Zappa’s jazz-themed album The Grand Wazoo, Blessed Relief is more than a song. It’s what we hope to offer our listeners, providing an escape from a hectic world.
Blessed Relief is:
